The MUUF A/V committee
is responsible for operating the sound board and projector each Sunday and video recording the service. A/V support is critical to the Sunday experience! If you can’t hear, see and understand what is being said, what’s the point? We also provide A/V support for other events at MUUF such as weddings, memorial services, lectures and presentations, on a volunteer basis (though sometimes it’s a paid gig)
Now that we are a “hybrid” congregation, live-streaming on YouTube and FaceBook each Sunday, we no longer make DVDs of the services. MUUF has a YouTube channel where all Sunday Service videos are available.
We also have a new A/V system which allows multiple camera angles, integrates with material being projected from the computer, allows Zoom sessions in the Meeting Room, allows projection of content from the web, etc etc. A preliminary instructions document for operators of the A/V cameras is here.
The A/V volunteer schedule for 2024 is here
The A/V committee is always on the lookout for new volunteer members. The equipment and procedures are designed to be as simple as possible to operate, no special technical know-how is required, and we provide simple training on our specific equipment. This is a great way to contribute to MUF’s smooth functioning in a low-intensity way, and is especially recommended to newcomers.
