Music is an important part of the life of the Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Our Director of Music Ministries is Michael Rosin, who is a recognized keyboardist, music scholar, and internationally award-winning composer. His background and experience are reflected in our music programming, which is diverse, multigenerational, richly artistic, and ever-evolving.
Our Sunday service exhibits robust congregational singing, choral anthems, instrumental offerings, and vocal solos from a wide range of musical styles and genres. One week you might hear an African American spiritual, the next you might hear a song originally performed by Pearl Jam. One week Bach, another week Lennon. We aim to engage congregants of all ages and musical tastes.
The Fellowship owns three grand pianos and two spinets, as well as an electric keyboard, drum set, and collection of percussion instruments. Many of our members are musicians and elevate our time together by playing and singing in services as well.
The Adult Choir meets for rehearsal every week from September through June. No audition is required, and you don’t need to be able to read music. Come sing with us! All persons ages 14 and up, regardless of musical ability, are welcome.
