Have you experienced the transformative power of a new beginning?
As Unitarian Universalists, we embrace the ongoing journey of growth, change, and the constant quest for truth and meaning. Our Quarterly Journal is a space to explore these themes, and this fall issue, we focus on the concept of New Beginnings.
How do your Unitarian Universalist values guide your approach to new beginnings?
- Perhaps it’s the inherent worth and dignity of every person inspiring you to embrace inclusivity in new endeavors.
- Maybe the commitment to justice and compassion compels you to advocate for positive change.
- Or perhaps the free and responsible search for truth motivates you to question and explore new possibilities.
We invite you to submit creative works that explore New Beginnings through a Unitarian Universalist lens. We welcome submissions in a variety of formats:
- Essays: Reflect on how your faith informs your approach to new beginnings.
- Musings: Explore how Unitarian Universalist principles guide your personal growth.
- Poems: Capture the essence of new beginnings within our UU community.
- Art: Visualize the interconnectedness of UU values and the concept of new beginnings.
- Other Creative Work: Surprise us with your unique expression of New Beginnings informed by your UU identity!
Let’s celebrate the power of New Beginnings, together!
Final submissions are due by August 16th, but please let Nick know any ideas you have beforehand.
We can’t wait to see how you weave your Unitarian Universalist values into your creative exploration of new beginnings!
