Share What You Love on a Flex Sunday!

A special invitation to Fellowship groups and members

Do you have a passion, talent, or spiritual practice you’d love to share with our kids? We’re inviting YOU—committees, affinity groups, musicians, artists, crafters, storytellers, and spirited individuals—to help lead a Flex Sunday this fall!

What’s a Flex Sunday?
Once a month, our children’s Religious Education program opens the door to new experiences by inviting members of the Fellowship to lead a one-time, hands-on class or activity for our kids. It’s a chance to connect across generations, share your gifts, and support our children’s spiritual growth in a fun and meaningful way.

Some past and possible ideas:
🎨 Art projects
🌿 Nature walks or gardening
🎶 Music and rhythm games
📚 Storytelling or UU history
🍪 Simple baking or cooking
🧘🏽‍♀️ Yoga, mindfulness, or dance
❤️ Service projects or justice-based activities

What do you need to do?

  • Bring an idea—big or small—we’ll help you shape it!
  • Plan for about 30–45 minutes of content for kids ages 4–11.
  • We’ll provide a second adult volunteer and help with setup.

Why it matters:
Flex Sundays are a powerful way for our children to see that our whole community is here for them—not just their teachers. Your presence shows them what it means to live our UU values with creativity, compassion, and joy.

If you’re curious or have an idea brewing, talk to Nick. We’d love to match you with a date this fall.

Help nurture the next generation—just by being yourself.
