Join MUUF and GAAMC for a movie discussion of Will and Harper, an award-winning documentary that follows actor Will Ferrell and writer Harper Steele, his old friend, on a road trip across the US after Steele’s gender transition. Monday evening, Oct. 13 at MUUF at 6:30 pm.
Will and Harper is a timely, poignant, and often hilarious documentary that explores themes of self-acceptance, personal lives, and how it feels to be transgender. They take a road trip across the US to see how friends, family and strangers react to transgender people. It is a rare comedy and a teaching tool that shows the challenges and joys of their friendship. It is an ideal film for a joint discussion with our LGBTQ friends in GAAMC and members of MUUF.
Attendees have the option of watching Will and Harper on your own time (streaming on Netflix) and come to MUUF on October 13th at 6:30 pm. Bring a snack or sweet to share and we’ll start the discussion at 7:00.
Important: Seating for the discussion will be limited so click Sign up here if you’d like to participate in the discussion on 10/13 (6:30).
