Can Do Summer: Curiosity, Imagination & the Can-Do Spirit
From June 15th through August 10th (no class on July 6th), we’ll offer a weekly Sunday morning program during the 10:00–11:00 a.m. service for children in PreK through 5th Grade.

This program’s aim is to foster the “can do spirit” and help children face challenges with confidence. To this end, we anchor the sessions in our UU practices of curiosity and imagination, two skills that are key to feeling empowered and excited to try and make new things. Each week features an adventure of building something new, including: blanket forts, fairy houses, junk sculpture, fancy paper airplanes, obstacle courses, and more!
Classes will be multi-age, with the option to split into smaller groups depending on attendance.
We’re also inviting Middle Schoolers to sign up as helpers—a wonderful opportunity for leadership, mentoring, and building connections across ages.

Volunteers Needed – Especially Veteran Teachers!
We’re looking for adult volunteers to support both of these programs—and we would especially love to welcome back some of our veteran RE teachers who may not have taught in a while. Your presence, experience, and perspective are incredibly valuable, and we believe it’s important for our children and youth to get to know a wide variety of adults in our congregation.
Even helping once or twice over the summer can make a big difference and deepen intergenerational connections within our community.
