We’ll be starting a book club for rising sixth graders through exiting 8th graders. We will meet the third Thursday of the month in the summer at 7:00-8:00pm The interest meeting will be on May 29th at 7:00-8:00pm. At the interest meeting and other meetings we can talk about what kind of genres and books you already love. Grown ups are also invited to the interest meeting for chaperoning.Calling all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with a passion for reading! Our initial meeting will take place on Thursday, May 29th, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the book club’s structure, potential book selections, and to share your own literary preferences. Following this initial gathering, our regular summer meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month, also from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Through the summer. These sessions will provide a dedicated time to delve into our chosen book for the month, share your thoughts and interpretations, and enjoy the company of other enthusiastic readers.
We understand the importance of safety and supervision, so grown-ups are welcome to attend the interest meeting if they wish to chaperone their young readers. This will allow parents or guardians to learn more about the book club and how it will be run.
