Meadville Lombard Archives & Special Collections is proud to be the steward of over 400 archival collections that include over 2,000 feet of physical records. We have been collecting history for over 175 years and hold material from students and scholars, laity and ministers, and congregations and organizations around the world. To make our collection accessible to interested users outside of Chicago, we have been steadily digitizing select records since 2016 – making the richness and diversity of Unitarian Universalism’s history freely and easily available to anyone who seeks it. To date, we have digitized over 40,000 pages of material! Our digitization program is funded by generous donations and grants and is conducted in-house by specialized archives staff, who apply professional standards and use metadata tailored to fit our documents and community.
