We welcome Unitarian Universalists and people of all faith traditions to consider holding their milestone event in our congregation.
Weddings and Unions
We celebrate member weddings of all kinds – same-gender and other gendered couples are welcome! We have experience with multi-faith and interfaith weddings and are attentive to tailoring a ceremony that reflects and honors the religious and spiritual traditions of our members who choose to have their ceremony here or elsewhere.
Dedications and Name Ceremonies
The birth or adoption of a child is a special event in the life of a family as well as the life of the whole congregation. Child dedications for members’ new babies and newly-adopted children are held during a Sunday Services.
Memorial Services
We offer memorial services to honor the lives of members, their partner or spouse, or their children who have died. In the event of a member’s passing, please contact the office as soon as possible. Memorial service planning begins when the family is ready, and services are scheduled at a time convenient for the family.
Officiants
Rev. Sasha Ostrtom’s officiant fees are waived for members of Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. While Rev. Sasha is not available for non-member weddings or memorial services, she is happy to provide recommendations of UU officiants who may be available to officiate.
Because child dedications are ceremonies that dedicate the congregations members to a new child among us, this special service is only available to members.
Please contact our Congregational Administrator in the office for availability of an officiant for your event. If no one is available or you wish to use your own officiant, a waiver can be granted.
Fees
Rev. Sasha Ostrom’s officiant fees for weddings, memorial services, and child dedications are waived for members of Morristown Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. She is not available for non-member ceremonies.
For non-member weddings and memorial services, officiant fees are set by your officiating minister and are often based on the UUMA guidelines.
