Sunday Mornings at the Fellowship are a foundation for the rest of our programs and mission. Sunday mornings are an encounter with the mystery of the universe, with humanity and with divinity. They serve to teach, to create, to inspire. It is during this time that we open ourselves to experience new and thought-provoking ideas, to search within ourselves for answers or to reflect on changes we need to make.
Sunday Services are followed by a community coffee hour.
Stop by Visiting Us to learn more about Sunday Mornings. Throughout the year, we also hold Free-Faith Services.
Sunday morning services at 10:30 am in-person and live streamed at www.muuf.org/sundayservices
April 7: Say YES to Life
Led by Rev. Joel Miller
One of the joys of building a spiritual community around practices instead of beliefs is having so many ways to say “Yes!” to the opportunities that come our way (and interim ministers are all about finding opportunities in unexpected places). And on a Sunday when you are hearing from your Annual Stewardship campaign and your Ministerial Candidate, “yes” is a word that holds a whole lot of meaning!
April 14: Spirit Quake
Led by Rev. Joel Miller
Earthquakes make me very anxious. I was in Berkeley for the 1989 Loma Prieta quake in Northern California, 3600 times stronger than the one in New Jersey last week. I’ve also observed that experiencing a lot of change can make us behave anxiously. It’s only natural to feel anxious, but helpful responses to it make all the difference.
April 21: Called
Led by Rev. Sasha Ostrom
This Earth Day Sunday, we welcome our candidate for settled minister, the Rev. Sasha Ostrom, to our pulpit! We will celebrate Mother Nature together with a special altar-building activity and explore the ideas of calling and ministry – not just Rev. Sasha’s as an ordained clergyperson, but your own as Unitarian Universalists! We will also hear a testimonial for this year’s Stewardship Campaign and great music by our Choir. For our altar, all are invited to bring an object, image, or symbol with you that represents your connection to our planet Earth.
