Ten years ago, Tarana Burke founded the Me Too Movement as a response to survivors of sexual abuse, harassment, and assault. Recently, revelations of Harvey Weinstein’s conduct in Hollywood ignited a wave of Me Too stories across social media. Too often, religion has been a place of silence and complicity in matters of sexuality and holding up the heteropatriarchy. Today, we will own that #WeToo must be a part of this movement to empower survivors to claim their stories and a path towards healing.
